Lambs!
On Saturday evening, after dark, it snowed. Poor Millie was looking tired and ready to drop so I did 3 hourly checks on her through the night - no babies though and she was up and about next day. The snow was almost gone by morning and there were no further developments until Tuesday. On returning from work I noticed Millie up in the triangle field with 'that look' about her. Tuesday evening here was bitterly cold - a really biting wind - so we brought her in and made a 'nest' of straw bales to keep out any droughts to keep her and her babies warm and safe. She quickly produced healthy twins, Raymond and Blanc. Millie, who is a fine specimen of a sheep, is in good health and very content with her little family.
